The Hammonton Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Hammonton, New Jersey. Founded in 1894, the Society is one of the oldest local historical organizations in the state of New Jersey. The Society’s collection contains more than 5,000 items, including documents, photographs, books, and artifacts. The Society also operates a museum, which is open to the public. The Hammonton Historical Society is a member of the New Jersey Historical Society and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
