The Makepeace Lake Shooting Range is a 25-yard outdoor range that is designed to accommodate a variety of firearms and ammunition. The range consists of eight covered shooting positions as well as an outdoor shooting berm that can accommodate a fifty-yard range. The range is divided into two separate areas, a handgun section, and a rifle section. There is also a separate area with four rifle ranges for the more experienced shooter. At the Makepeace Lake Shooting Range, all shooters are required to wear protective eyewear and appropriate clothing. The use of guns must adhere to all applicable state and federal laws. All shooters must be at least 18 years of age and accompanied by a responsible adult. The WMA also requires shooters to use only quality ammunition that is in proper condition and that is obtained from a reliable source.
